BIO

The story so far...

Now hundreds of songs deep into the game, it started with a genuine love of music and rapidly grew from there. Notebooks quickly filled with verses of all kinds, eventually leading to rudimentary home recording in the late 90’s. “We put together this project in high school with about 15 tracks on it and pushed it for $5 a pop. The support was unexpected even in the beginning.” From there the home recording evolved and quality improved as CD’s and easier access to better equipment entered the equation.

Fast forward some years and several introductions to local artists later, the first official studio album, The Moment of Truth, was released in 2008. “I was on a musical high. The first official album dropped, I had a solid squad to rock with, we were performing at local spots; things were good!” More albums and mixtapes soon followed thereafter with solid consistency year after year. After a strong 6-year run with release after release, a hiatus was inevitable. “Music was always my outlet for life drama and irritations and I was at a point where I was just good. I had written so many verses over such a large timespan that I was struggling to find new inspiration, and I had no drama to trigger any good ideas. It’s funny when I think about it, but the music suffered because of it.

Verses still managed to manifest throughout the lyrical drought, albeit far less frequently. After a few false starts, it seems the time for more music is not far on the horizon. “It’s been a minute and a damn fun ride, but I’m starting to feel that urge to put something new together. I’ve been listening to beats, the words have been flowing, and I’ve gotten back to recording. The stuff that has been coming out of the studio is insane. I’m anxious for the world to hear what I’ve been doing.” It seems Confession is far from done; words directly from the horse’s mouth. If the sample of music I’ve had the pleasure to preview is any indication of things to come, as a fan, I am excited for music as a whole to know that good artists still exist. If you were seeking the same, look no further.
